The Brief

To design and develop a new ecommerce WordPress website for a new fashion label.  The eccomerce requirements were quite specific and it was crucial that the ordering process and management would fit in with the existing workflow for the client. 

The Solution

Woocommerce was the obvious option to handle the ecommerce side of the site.  It required considerable customisation to create the functionality required, including custom product filtering, order statistics, product waiting lists and custom email templates.  It was also important ensure customisations would not conflict with future Woocommerce versions.

The design was largely led by the minimilistic branding and need to appeal to a highend, female professional market.  I used plenty of white space and a monochrome pallete to create a clean, and elegant appearance.

Performance was also a crucial factor so the site was optimised for speed and SEO using image compression, caching and proper markup.
