The Brief

To redesign and develop an existing WordPress website.  The old site had a design that was not in keeping with current web design trends and failed to make good use of screen space and images.

The Solution

One aspect of the design that was obvious was that it should make use of some of the stunning photography that was available.  The client had a collection of well taken photos featuring the products and build process that I used to create visual interest on the website.  I applied a desaturating filter to the photos to give a sense of rustic, vintage, traditional craft and create continuity between all the images.

The content of the site lends itself to a failry standard layout using columns and full width imagery.  This layout works well across all screensizes and mobile devices.

I spent a lot of time considering font pairings and typography which accomanies the site images and branding perfectly.
