The Brief

To design and develop a single page website to showcase the feature documentary film about the Maasai Warrior Cricket Team. The website would need to include a lot of large, high quality images as well as Vimeo embeds, so optimisation would be essential to minimise load speed and page size.

The Solution

In order to create the single page site and maintain edibility for the client, I opted for a drag and drop page builder. This allowed be to build a layout with a lot of content without needing to incorporate HTML which would have made content management difficult for the client.

Careful image optimisation was used to maintain quality while minimising affect on page load speed. A parallax scrolling affect was used on full width images to allow larger images to be shown in a letterbox viewport to minimise the amount of vertical page space required to display them. It also provides more visual interest whilst scrolling.
