The original website was housed within the Kirklees Council website. The brief was to redesign and develop a stand alone WordPress website that would allow the White Rose Forest team complete autonomy over the website and content. The design was based on new brand guidelines and there was a emphasis on accessibility and ease of content management.
The client made it clear from the beginning that they would have a regular stream of new content to add to the site. Therefore, to ensure that the management of the content was as simple as possible we opted to use the Divi Builder for this site. This allowed us to create a library of modules that could be loaded and reused throughout the website.
Accessibility testing was completed throughout the design and build of the website to ensure that the correct level of compliance was met.
The functionality of the website is fairly simple but a great deal of attention was given to the optimisation and performance of the website to guarantee ongoing reliability and quality.
