As a platform, WordPress has enormous scope for customising and extending the core functionality, with almost limitless possibilities. For a freelance WP developer like myself, it is enormously satisfying to mould the functionality of a WordPress website to fulfil the requirements of a project.

In a world full of visual page builders, the need to code templates is mostly in the past. So much frontend development can be achieved in a no-code environment. Although years of experience always plays a vital part in achieving truly great results.

One of the primary purposes of a CMS like WordPress is to make site and content management simple. This is always at the forefront of my mind when developing a theme, and I ensure that the theme not only looks great on the frontend, but functions beautifully behind the scenes too.

WordPress Plugin Development

Plugins extend the functionality of WordPress and a theme. Although there are a lot of premium and free plugins available, it is often the case that the plugin doesn’t quite do what it needs to, or will not offer a reliable or optimal solution. I develop built in functionality and stand alone plugins to provide bespoke and custom functionality for WordPress websites. There are very few limitations with what can be achieved with custom plugin development.
